ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The Higher Certificate in Marketing as offered by the IMM GSM is designed for those who want to understand basic and foundational concepts in sales and retail marketing whether they are employed or not. The programme provides students with a platform to interrogate and understand what marketing is, its role within the organization, and the key performance indicators of a sales representative or executive.

Upon completing this programme students are able to design business plans, develop marketing communication strategies, and/or develop and implement practical marketing mix strategies for organisations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To enroll you must have one of the following qualifications:
- You must have a senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- A CV and RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) application is required from prospective students over 23 years of age, who have no Senior Certificate, and must include work-related experience and a SAPS affidavit stating that they did not obtain a Senior Certificate.

EXEMPTION

You may be exempt from some papers if you have a relevant degree or professional marketing qualification. For more information contact the IMM GSM.

Students are required to write a final examination per module. The Certification body for the Higher Certificate in Marketing professional qualification is the IMM Graduate School of Marketing.
