International Students

We have links with more than 50 tertiary institutions worldwide and almost 150 international students study with us each year.

The International Students in Student Affairs takes pride in being a home away from home and providing services to international students, which assists them with studying at a foreign institution of learning.

Any student who is a non-South African citizen Africa is considered an international student.

 

The Route to Admission

Step 1 Identify a programme of study
Step 2 Check whether you meet the entry requirements for the selected programme of study

Minimum Entry requirements include:

  • You must be 18 years and above
  • English Language
  • South African Senior Certificate (SAFCERT) or
  • South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) or
  • GCE “O” and “A” Levels or
  • Professional Certificate or
  • Diploma or
  • Relevant International Qualification or
  • Professional Work experience

Step 3 If you meet the entry requirements lodge an application. The following documents must be attached to you application form:

  • Certified copy of your Identification Book/Passport
  • Certified copy of your certificates and transcripts
  • Copy of your CV
  • SAQA Evaluation Report
  • Letter of recommendation/reference letter

NB. Official certified translations must be provided for any document not in English.

Step 4 Submit your application form together with the application fees. Easy ways to apply include:

First Semester: 31 January
Second Semester: 30 June

Step 5 Application Review Process
Upon receipt of your application you will receive the following documentations:

  • An acknowledgment of receipt of your application for admission
  • A letter of admission in case your application is successful or
  • A letter for additional supporting documentation

Step 6 Applicant acceptance of admission
Step 7 Pay your fees
Step 8 Obtain a study permit
