PRISA PUBLIC RELATIONS FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS

The Public Relations Institute of South Africa (PRISA) is a Professional Institute operating in the communications sector, established in 1957, is the professional body for public relations and communication management. It endorses and recognises quality education, training and skills programmes and provides continuing professional development and information services for its members. It sets standards and has a globally recognised code of ethics and professional standards PRISA ensures that all its members have achieved the highest level of knowledge and skills necessary for the workplace The Public Relations programme has been designed for the profession by practitioners. The programme presented part-time and in condensed blocks enabling you to study and work. Practical and relevant in content by combining theory with workplace experience - based on outcomes and case studies Generous in teaching time and learner support The only professional skills programmes endorsed by the South African professional body, PRISA.

DURATION:

Is dependent on the mode of training and can take between 6 or 12; months. The programme is also available on long distance mode.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You must be 16 years and above A recognized qualification from an education institution or National Senior Certificate or Non public relations professional qualification

Basic Principles of Public Relations

  • Special events management for exhibitions, launches, conferences, etc
  • Public relations as a profession, ethics and requirements of consultants and practitioners
  • Compiling public relations campaigns and corporate social investment projects
  • Layout, design and publication of newsletters, web pages, annual reports, etc
  • Marketing, sponsorships and promotions
  • Media liaison, media kits and writing press releases
  • Presentation skills and interpersonal communication

 

SAQA ACCREDITATION

Certified Technical Accountant is registered and aligned to SAQA qualification/unit standards.

EXAMINATION SESSIONS:

Learners are assessed through a Portfolios of Evidence (PoE) and can choose amongst a selection of suitable all year round dates for assessment.

ASSESSMENT / CERTIFICATION / AWARDING BODY
